１９２８年山梨県生まれ。中央大学法学部卒業。山梨県立図書館主幹等を務めた。山梨郷土研究会常任理事、山梨県立大学看護学部非常勤講師。０４年瑞宝双光章受章。著書に「山梨県の歴史」など。
